Delivering flexible automation at IMHX
Last week Wise Robotics and Hikrobot exhibited at the IMHX in Birmingham – the largest warehouse and logistics event in the UK.
With our first joint stand ever, our teams showcased a range of flexible warehouse robotics, alongside the newly launched CTU model, designed to reduce the need for working at height by reaching and picking from shelves just shy of 8 metres high. Also on display was our Q series AMR robots, which provide compact and swift solutions for goods-to-person and material handling operations.
THE SOLUTIONS ON SHOW
The IMHX presented a unique opportunity for professionals who manage their supply chain operations to discover the solutions reshaping the post-pandemic global logistic industries. Joe Daft, head of robotics at Wise Robotics, commented on the IMHX:
“Logistics, manufacturing and warehouse operations are constantly tested by complex supply chain challenges – often contributed to by unpredictable global or local events. They can no longer afford the spiralling costs associated with temporary labour or miss out on revenue lost because their operation isn’t set up for sales spikes and to meet changing customer demand.
“No two businesses have the same operation. Every warehouse layout, space, personnel, stock and demand for goods is different. This is why businesses are investing in automated robotic solutions that are designed around their existing setup. But It’s not just about putting robots in a facility. It’s about transforming whole processes like goods-to-person and materials handling through solutions that are tailor made to improve efficiency. The businesses who have adopted flexible automation or invested in their fulfilment, have fuelled an expectation and a demand for fast efficient delivery.”
We’re glad to have provided insight into just a fraction of the business benefits that automation can bring for all those who attended. It was also a fantastic chance to showcase our latest case study, including hearing direct from Ian Shay who was at the event and talking to decision-makers about the benefits of flexible automation solutions.
